Do you feel blame, guilt or shame?

Have you ever felt as if those around you don't get you? Or at times felt as if you don't know yourself?

Do you feel stuck, not knowing who to turn to? Does it seem as if your nearest and dearest are unable to assist you in finding solutions to your problems? Maybe those that are closest to you are contributing to the problem? Do you have feelings or behaviours that you are unable to make sense of and feel confused by it all?

Counselling is a therapeutic space that can offer you the opportunity to explore the dynamics of your life, privately and confidentially.

Talking to someone who is objective can eliminate the negative responses and reactions from others that can cause our own negative emotions to escalate. It gives an opportunity to understand the deeper layers of ourselves. It can empower you because of the insight you gain. It can help you to understand where you fit into society as an individual.

My style of counselling is integrative which means I use a combination of counselling styles, including psychodynamic and person centred as well as using tools from other therapies to assist with the counselling process these might include: mindfulness, journaling, visualisations and various other methods which are used both within and outside of the counselling sessions. For an informal chat please contact me to find out more.

I would describe myself as a relational therapist. I see counselling and therapy as a collaborative process in which I work with the client rather than seeing myself as the expert.  In my experience as both a client and a therapist, it is the relationship that is the fundamental force for healing.  I am trained in both humanistic and psychodynamic therapy, integrating theory and practice from both approaches as appropriate and helpful for each individual client.  I strive to provide a safe, containing and non-judgemental space for my clients in which to explore their difficulties, develop trust, understand themselves and begin to heal.

Hello and welcome to my profile
Searching through profiles trying to find the right therapist is hard, but I think you are doing an amazing first step in investing in yourself to have a happier future.
Thinking about why you are looking for a therapist, is it because:
You are looking for a space to reflect on your life and make changes without being told what to do?
Are you feeling sad, worried or just not yourself?
Have you experienced a trauma ie sexual abuse, domestic abuse, bullying, an accident or near death experience.
Has the Covid-19 pandemic increased your anxieties and with lockdown restrictions lifting causing you panicking feelings?
Taking the time for you to reflect on your past experiences and future worries is making you a priority  in your life and I can be alongside you on your journey providing  a safe, non judgemental and confidential space to explore these worries and concerns.
I completed my Degree in Person Centred Counselling at University of Cumbria over 8 years ago and since I have completed various trainings which has included Babette Rothschild's Somatic Trauma Training  so I am therefore a qualified and extremely experienced counsellor and Somatic Trauma Therapist.
I have spent the last 8 years working with clients who have experienced sexual and domestic abuse helping them to go from feeling a victim of the abuse, to a survivor to then thriving in their lives.  By understanding what has happened to them in the past has helped them to change how it affects them today.

Hello, I am Lizana and I believe in the transformative experience of Talking Therapy.
Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed with feelings or need a space to talk through your personal, emotional or mental health difficulties?
Counselling may help to develop your self-awareness, your self-worth and may also provide insight into how you relate to others. I work with the client to explore different perspectives, to reflect on past experiences and to use the counselling space to process difficult thoughts and feelings.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), a member of the Black, African and Asian Therapy Network (BAATN) and the Squiggle Foundation.
What can I talk about?
Basically, anything that you feel worried or anxious about, or any concerns you have about how you are feeling. Sometimes, this might be about recent events (such as moving to a new country, a change in personal circumstances, the ending of a relationship, or a bereavement) and sometimes it may involve events from your past. Quite often people do not know why they feel unhappy or anxious, and it is OK to come and talk about that too.

Hello, I'm Laura and I'm trained as an Integrative Psychotherapist.
While that sounds complicated, you might have heard the terms therapist, or counsellor used interchangeably to describe what I do. What it means is my passion in life is helping people through mental health problems, distressing or challenging times in their life and helping them grow into people they want to be.
I'm a firm believer that each person is uniquely individual, and any therapeutic help they receive should be tailored to them, and their needs. Being Integrative means I'm not set on one school of thought, and work with you to find what the best approach is for you.
I provide a safe and confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings, without judgement. You don't have to have a diagnosis to come and see me; if you're struggling with your mental health or life in general we'll work together in therapy to try and help you overcome this.
You're in control of the sessions, you can bring whatever issues you'd like to discuss, we go at a pace you're comfortable with. There's no pressure to discuss things you aren't ready for. Instead we'll look at working together to set realistic goals for our work together, based on what you'd like to achieve.

I am a person-centred counsellor with over 20 years experience of working with people experiencing a wide range of issues and symptoms including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and lack of self-confidence, bereavement and loss, trauma: emotional, physical and sexual and relationship problems. I offer a safe environment for you to explore the issues that are causing you distress and difficulty, to gain self-awareness, connect with and express emotions that you may be blocking or suppressing.  This can improve your capacity to regulate your emotions and improve your ability to communicate, which results in a lifting of mood and a calming of anxiety.  Engaging in a counselling process enables you to develop trust and acceptance in yourself, which helps you make better choices for yourself.  No matter what your symptoms are, at the heart of emotional distress is often a tendency to be self-critical, lack of self-worth and blaming yourself when the blame does not belong to you.  Counselling helps you to process trauma, emotional or physical and help you gain a new perspective, genuine self-worth and the emotional resources  to deal with the challenges life throws at us.

I work therapeutically with adults creating a safe space for you to explore feelings in a non judgemental empathic environment, I offer a service which is flexible, compassionate, confidential and friendly.

Therapy can help you to grow in times of anxiety and uncertainty. I have studied many differing modalities over the years and use an approach that includes all of these within my practice including solution focused, CBT and trauma informed practice, while  maintaining a person centred approach at the heart of all I do, putting you at the centre of the therapeutic journey.

I am a qualified, experienced counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I offer a non-judgmental setting, enabling you to speak confidentially in a supported environment. Sometimes we face challenges or periods of change that rock our foundation often leaving us feeling vulnerable and isolated. You may be struggling with your self-worth, lack self-confidence or feel stuck or at a crossroads in your life.

My role is to assist you in gaining insight through listening and thoughtful interventions, helping you to make sense, or come to terms with, a situation or event in your life.

I work as an integrative therapist which means I have a grounding in one theory but incorporate skills and interventions from other approaches enabling me to meet individual client needs.

Contemplating therapy can be daunting, however, I will endeavour to make you feel at ease and allow you a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings.

Hi, I’m Natasha and I am an integrated therapist, meaning that I use different modalities and techniques structured to your personal needs. I can offer you the space and opportunity to talk about and explore your world and experiences in a safe, confidential, non-judgmental, empathic space.
I believe you are the expert in your life, I will walk beside you throughout your journey and use my skills to gently guide you.
I am passionate about my work and enhancing people’s lives, believing that anyone can be the better version of themselves with the right support, and we all need some support from time to time. Often we become ‘stuck’ or a life-changing event leads us down a different road, leaving us confused and wondering if and how we can continue on our journey of life.
My initial training was in person-centred, I then trained in other modalities such as solution-focused, psychodynamic and CBT which has given me extra tools to offer a more integrated approach.
The sessions will be led by you, I have no agenda and will not rush you, the sessions can be used to explore what has brought you to therapy as well as looking at your past, considering the here and now, and what you would like for the future, which can give you the opportunity to consider how you could get there.
